Putnam City leads PC North wire-to-wire
Playing at home, the Putnam City Lady Pirates
grabbed an early lead against Putnam City North and never looked back as
they ended their rival's season, 56-42.
The game was a first round contest in the
state's Class 6A tournament. First round game losers are eliminated.
PC's largest lead was 16 points, 56-40, with
1:13 remaining in the game.
Alyssa Hankins and Lillian Prince led all
scorers with 14 and 13 points.
North had a size advantage, but were unable to
benefit from it.
The loss eliminates Putnam City North from the
Class 6A tournament and ends their season.
The Lady Panthers are a young team and should be
improved next year.
Putnam City, the Regional host, will face Lawton
at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon at PC. Lawton upset Mustang on Thursday night.
