Memorial's Towne is the toast of the town
Where did all of the offense come from?
Edmond Memorial had managed only 38 points in
their first three games - including 26 against Del City last week, but
outscored Norman on Friday, 49-10.
Memorial's quarterback, Pete Towne, was the
toast of the town as he three four touchdown passes and ran for another pair
to lead the Bulldogs to victory in the first week of District competition.
Towne's passes were to Kaivon Hardy (40 yards),
Taylor Whiteside (5 yards), Dane Roel (28 yards) and David James (10 yards).
Towne also ran for a pair of 1-yard scores.
It should be noted that Norman played without a
few starters, who were being disciplined by their coach on homecoming in
Norman.
Not to be forgotten, Bruce Otto kicked seven
extra points for the Dogs.
