A new coach with a new approach equals better results?

Head coach John Jensen faces a big task: taking a one-win Putnam City West team and teaching them how to win.

While other schools were working on their offenses and defenses last spring, the Patriots were learning basics – like tackling.

The offense will be run from a double wing formation and include a lot of misdirection. They should be able to drive the ball and run the clock. They are also capable of going deep if the defense crowds the line of scrimmage.

Players to watch: Quarterback Daniel Farrow and defensive lineman Austin Yeargain.

LAST YEAR: 1-9

PREDICTION: 3-7
