Dana Fox signs with
Cowley College
Putnam City High School senior Dana Fox
has signed to play softball with Cowley College in Kansas. She will
become the second Lady Pirate softball standout to play for the
Tigers. Ashly Bright signed with Coach Ed Hargrove four years ago.
Putnam City Assistant Coach Dandy Peeler
also played for the Tigers.
Cowley is a very successful program in
the junior college ranks. The Cowley Tigers, whose colors are also
orange and black, consistently win 40 games or more every season -
and are always contenders for the national championship.
Dana, who was PC's Most Valuable Player
this year, is a catcher - and academically is ranked 15th in her
senior class.
Putnam City Coach Beth McCarthy praised
Fox for her hard work - both in the classroom and on the field.
